If you're anything like me, you've got rock 'n roll running through your veins. I can remember being a little girl feeling like my heartstrings were being pulled in every direction at the first sound of Bon Jovi's Runaway.
It wasn't before long I found myself being caught up on long hair rock 'n roll in fact, taking in all of the big bad Nikki Sixx basslines, or daydreaming over Slash's heartbreaking, waling guitar.
And whilst late 70's and 80's rock is my heartbeat, how can you not evolve in modern days and fall head over heels with the late Chris Cornell's haunting tone or Brandon Flowers signature Vegas style?
No matter which way I turn in life, there's always a comfort in the music. It's my safe place, my healing, where I find peace and somehow manage to get up and keep on moving.
This is a sentiment shared by many fans I speak to at rock shows. In rock 'n roll, we trust.
